Composite is the bread and butter of modern dentistry. It allows us to work in the most conservative way and still deliver amazing aesthetic results! With a very large hands on element, this course will give you all the skills required to provide predictable anterior and posterior direct restorations at the highest level. Consistently.

Some of the Topics covered include: Aesthetic and clinical evaluation, adhesion and material options, rubber dam, simplified building techniques and easy finishing and maintenance .

The Hands on section will include:

Anterior:

Injection Moulding: Hands on will cover the digital workflows, clinical steps and material choices to create the ideal restorative outcome.

Class IV – Shade selection, Margin and cavity preparation, stratification technique, intraoperatory corrections, use of single shade, dual shade and multiple shades. Simplification for success.

Composite Veneers – how to mask discolored teeth, utilizing the unique Unica matrix system from Polydentia . You will learn how to complete composite veneers with simple but vital finishing tricks to achieve ideal aesthetics.

Posterior:

Class I and II – Direct restorations class I and class II, Caries removal, cavity preparation, material selection, instrumentation and tips to achieve long lasting beautiful restorations. Using modelling techniques from the past to the present with an Introduction to essential lines. Focusing on ways to save time and achieve beautiful results.

Cusp replacement – Understanding the matrix system and how to choose one for each situation. Introducing simple techniques to make cusp replacement predictable and easy. While understanding the role of occlusion and what the limits are with direct restorations in posterior teeth.
